Hi there, My name is Carol.
I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor and a member of the NCS governing body. I ensure I work ethically and follow their guidelines.
I work predominately as a person centred therapist.I am able to work and integrate other modalities if and when the need arises when working together, this I feel allows the work to be truly individual to you as a client allowing the work to be holistic and aiming to attend to all you require in regards to your emotional well being and psychological health.
My working background is within nursing and holistic therapies I have always had a desire and connection in working with people and find it a priviledge in this line of work working with individuals and walking along side them in their journey of counselling.
In this busy fast paced and uncertain world we can all find ourselves having moments when it can feel overwhelming or challenging and uncertain the need to reach out for support may arise.
I provide counselling to individuals , who have been finding certain aspects of their lives challenging and feel that, now, is the time for them to work things through in therapy.
I work with the aim to provide and a safe and non judgemental space where you as a client can have the time to reflect and explore all what might be going on for you at this moment and enable you to find and come to the conclusions you are looking for
I work with a varied client base, from depression ,anxiety ,stress which maybe related to relationships, family dynamics, work to name a few , grief and loss which is a broad area as can be related to a death of pets, people or a loss of a job relationship can impact individuals in many different ways
Feeling stuck, unsure which direction you are heading yourself or with your partner, and constantly worrying about many things, which confuse you every day can make your life even more unmanageable. Very often you might feel unmotivated, can not focus on an important task either at work/ college/university assignment or have difficulties to sleep.
Listening is often the only thing needed to help someone.
